PU 80

PU 80

Zettex PU 80 is a one-component, ultra-fast curing, flexible and high performance polyurethane adhesive for the direct glazing of vehicle glass in truck, train and large vehicle production. Zettex PU 80 has a drive-away time of 2 hours in combination with 2 airbags. Zettex PU 80 needs to be applied in combination with Zettex Glass Primer. Zettex PU 80 is highly resistant against UV irradiation, weathering and aging.

Advantages

  • Non-conductive
  • Rapid application and curing
  • One-component polyurethane
  • Suitable for use with integral aerials
  • Suitable for cold and warm application
  • Capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses
  • Prevents contact corrosion in aluminum-body vehicles
  • High Modulus – maintains torsional rigidity and increases the vehicles NVH values
  • Cartridge 310ml

• It is ideal for direct glazing on vehicles where high shear modulus and non-conductive properties are required. Solvent free, it is completely odorless. ZETTEX PU 80
combines a high modulus properties which provides the extra strength required to maintain torsional rigidity, very low volume resistivity and good high-frequency properties, allowing the correct bonding to glass incorporating radio antenna or additional electrical equipment.
• Fit the cartridge into a manual or pneumatic air operated gun (provided with telescopic piston).
The surfaces to be treated should be perfectly clean, dry and free from dust and grease. It is necessary to apply a cleaner/activator and a primer on glass. The adhesion on normal vehicle varnishes generally does not require the use of Primer. It is advisable to carry out preliminary
adhesion tests on the support. Specific guidance regarding the use of Primers may be obtained by submitting substrate samples to our laboratories.
• Drive Away Time: 30 minutes (throughout operating window of –5°C to +40°C)
• On vehicles fitted with both driver and passenger airbags ZETTEX PU 80 meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
